Innocence: Edited

=

NEW POEM!

Yup, you get the idea ...

Anyway, someone suggested a title for today's poem - Innocence and despite the challange of writing such a genre of poem - I defied the odds, crossed the seven seas, climbed the highest mountain ... *exaggerates*

Right - enough talk, here's what this post is for:

Innocence

Undefined,
Is it relative,
in the notion of perspective?
Or a crude set of motives,
Underlying innocuous objectives?

Unconditional love of a mother?
Or goodwill killing of a soldier?
The birth of a newborn?
Or reasoned abortion of a stillborn?

Unblemished,
So the hypocrites say.
The axiom of the day,
But veiled truth of the night.
A constant battle of wrong and right.

Undefined,
Unblemished,
Who knows?
As for now, only silence speaks eloquence.

Edit: Perhaps this SHOULD be explained. No point a garble of words without knowing aye? Alright, here goes;

Stanza One:
Innocence is a difficult subject to decipher. It is liquid, constantly changing depending situationally. Yet again, is innocence a pretty face? Some people say, war is essential, we are NOT wrong and are on the innocent side, we just have to fight back? But why does a country have to go to war when only the predicament is shared by leaders and leaders only?

Stanza Two:
As in the explanation above; this stanza sows contrasting situations, alternatingly. Is innocence like the love of a mother? Or do you send a soldier out to battle and leave him for dead, saying he died for the country? Can you say a person is innocent by aborting a child with good reasons? Of course, I won't answer that. It will be for you to decide.

Stanza Three:
Hypocrites like corrupt politicians talk garrulously about innocence, but they cease to understand the meaning. People think innocence is something, pure and white and clean - as a general fact, but is that what's happening (line two, axiom). But behind, in the darkness, under the table, fake innocence skins are used to cover dirty wolves' notions of greed. Perceptions about innocence - it is always either right or wrong.

Stanza Four:
Alright, this is to conclude stuff (yea, and add more words). So, basically it just reinforces the fact that innocence is something that we cannot understand; its mysterious, dark, bright, no one knows. In fact, no one has the right to answer what it means. It is better to conform to silence and not be fooled or humiliated.

Its deep aye, yes, I know. In fact, it is just an omega question with verbose and fancy words.
Of course, you COULD have your own understanding of this poem. I'd like to hear what you know about it if you're willing. As for now, I'll let silence speak eloquence.

actually i work pretty hard when writing poems too...if u get wat i mean.

[FnG] insideout said...

Ah, thats the problem ... don't try too hard.

How i got this poem is by accident. I merely woke up one morning and decided to take my friend's challenge to write a poem on "Innocence".

Look at the rough and sketched writings on the piece of scrap paper ;)

As for shit - ah, that is a personal problem with Killer Ace .... oops, did i expose a secret? :P

by the way....why don't u put a chatbox in the sidebar of ur blog?it will make bullsh*tting and crapping much easier....rather than doing it in the comments page...

[FnG] insideout said...

Ah, you explained it yourself. I don't want bulshitting and crapping over here. This blog may be open to public comments but its not a public toilet! :P

Anyway,
Kiddie,
It's just like I/O said,
DON'T TRY TOO HARD.
And like I said before,
Let is COME NATURALLY... (=.=" XP)

It always starts off like that,
It takes time.

Shakespeare didn't become the poet we all know now in one night.

Remember Thomas Edison?
"Success is 1% Inspiration, 99% Perspiration." ;)

Practice makes Perfect. ;)
Keep it up! :D

Sometimes you'll have to watch where you leave your shit. Someone else might step on it, especially if it is not your house. Note that I do have visitors. (If you get what i mean)

i love the poem...even though it may distract certain ppl..but..its freedom of writing rite??the freedom to express our thoughts...

kiDDiE said...

wait....I would have been better off without that explanation....LoLxz...you really do need an explanation for that explanation...RIGHT HERE!

[FnG] insideout said...

Oh my freaking gourd! I've been writing poems and getting complimented for the past how long (uhh, not long i know) and it is until now you tell me ... you don't understand? =.="

Ok, well, this poem is basically questioning the meaning of innocence, and people's attitude towards innocence. What is behind the face value of innocence and the paradox of situations.
