Topic Discussion: Myth-Women Are more Emotional Than Men

I hereby present you a discussion topic: Women Are More Emotional in Decision-Making Compared to Men. This would especially apply when decisions made by women are governed by factors such as humanity, society, environment, children, life, animals but not restricted to just these few.

Question here is: Is the premise above true? To what extend?

*Flaming in this discussion will NOT be tolerated. Please have self respect for yourself and others. It will be to all parties' best interest.

Ok.
Here's my take on the topic.

Yes. MOST women ARE more emotional than men.
MOST.
NOT all.

That's the main problem nowadays.
Stereotyping and generalizing. It pisses me off a lot many a times.

I meant emotional in the sense that women tend to be more expressive about their emotions, letting it out and "informing" people about their feelings almost immediately.

While as for men, men tend to keep their emotions to themselves, or let it out much later, and in more subtle ways. Take this blog for instance. ;) XP

THUS,
EVERYONE has emotions.
And letting it out in a right manner, at the right time, once in a while is important, so as to not become a walking volcano of emotions.

BUT (say it like Nal... :D XP),
It's common knowledge, that MOST women are more EMOTIONAL than men.
I'll emphasize my MAIN point again.
MOST women.
MOST.

;)

That's a fact. Most women are an emolicious. Their first priority is to be emotional. They..
think emotionally,
talk emotionally,
drink emotionally,
play emotionally,
having s*x emotionally,
sleeping also get emotional.

One thing that you can't deny,
Women are 7-11 emotional.

well...in fact...
women are born to be emotional...
much more emotional than men...
u all might say me emolicious...but compare it now...i lost miles long ler...

women being emotional bring both benefit and disadvantages...

benefit..
at least we can noe...how they react to certain things...
how they feel...

disadvantage..
even our (MEN) emotion are being drag down by their emotions...

Alright, I'm happy to see a balanced view on everyone's side. However, I'd like to add to the discussion my two cents.

Look at Audrey Raines, the character from 24's tv series. In one occasion the group of counter-terrorists were forced to make a decision - let the terrorist bomb a shopping mall full of kids (which leads to a clue to other places getting bombed) or stop them (and risk their entire operation). She, being a woman, chose the former.

Nevertheless, being emotional does NOT necessarily indicate a negative factor in women.

It MAY, however at certain times; especially when women have full jurisdiction over a situation (debate judge, etc), create a light degree of injustice.

As the person above, Mr. k!ll3r @c3 had most coherently and aptly put, "MOST women ARE more emotional than men.
MOST.
NOT all. "

It would be politically and morally incorrect to look at gender and be quick about having pre-concieved notions that that particular gender is as such. THAT, would be sexism.

That is why, God created both Adam and Eve, not Adam and Alan or Eve and Evelyn. The equilibrium of nature will not get upset.

Men tend (i said TEND, NOT ALWAYS) to make decisions by using their brains, while women tend to make decisions using their heart. Ultimately, if you just make decisions with your brains, you are more inclined to be heartless in decision-making. However, if you merely make decisions with your heart, it renders your decisions uhh...brainless.

To pin it up, lets just return to the topic. Women tend to get biased in their decisions, due to the emotional factor present. But - this does not apply to all women, neither is being emotional in their decisions something bad.

P.s. It still gets me pissed big time that i lost to one group during a business competition - just because the other group had this "social" factor incorporated, caring about old people and stuff. It gives them the edge because the moderator was a woman.
